MADRID EXPANDS RELOCATION COMPANY’S SPANISH-SPEAKING NETWORK

MADRID, Spain - International relocation specialist Crown Relocations today announced the opening of a new office in Madrid.

The company’s second branch in Spain, Crown Madrid further expands the company’s Spanish-speaking network, which includes branches in Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Spain. Crown also has a presence in Portuguese-speaking Brazil.

Thomas Willmott, International Manager, is responsible for the office and Crown’s operations throughout Spain. Based in Madrid, Mr. Willmott reports to Jim Klasing, Managing Director of Crown in Continental Europe.

“We are the only full-service relocation provider in the country with its own offices in Latin America - a very important market for Spain,” commented Mr. Klasing.

“Crown is the only international relocation company in the Spanish market with the capability to provide both moving and relocation services worldwide.”

Elsewhere in Spain, Crown has an office in Barcelona, which is managed by American expatriate Meredith Connell. Ms. Connell will work closely with Mr. Willmott in Madrid.

Crown Madrid is located in North Central Madrid, close to the heart of Madrid's central business district and Paseo de la Castellana, a central artery of the city.

“Besides being near transport links to Madrid’s Barajas International Airport and major highways connecting north, the location also provides convenient access to our corporate clients and nearby suburbs where many expatriates reside,” Mr. Willmott said.

Mr. Willmott is a Swedish national. Born and raised in Argentina, he is fully bilingual - English and Spanish - and also fluent in Portuguese. He has over 15 years of experience in the shipping and logistics industries, and has held senior management roles for European shipping companies in Argentina and Brazil.

For the past four years, Mr. Willmott has worked as a freelance consultant specializing in international logistics in the Alto Valle region of Argentina. He has traveled extensively throughout the course of his career. He recently relocated to Spain along with his wife and their three-year-old son.

The company’s first Latin American office, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was founded in 1999. The company has since opened additional branches in Santiago, Chile, Mexico City, Mexico and, most recently, Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Crown Barcelona opened earlier this year. Spain was the eleventh European country to join Crown’s growing international network of offices.

Crown’s first office in Continental Europe was opened in 1989 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The company has since established additional European operations in the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, Turkey and Russia. The company also has significant and long-standing presence in the UK and Ireland.

The Crown Group has over 90 offices in 40 countries. The Crown Relocations division specializes in employee relocation services for corporations. The company is also a leader in the management and storage of business records and provides other specialized transportation, forwarding, and warehousing services for expanding businesses. The Group provides services to over 8,000 major corporations around the globe, as well as caters to the needs of private customers. Crown’s website is www.crownrelo.com.
