| "FAWCO is thrilled to be sponsored by Crown Relocations,"
said Celeste Brown, Vice President of Communications for FAWCO. "It
is important to us that our sponsors fill a specific personal need for
our international membership. Because we have members in 38 countries
around the world, we want to be able to direct them to a relocation company
that is international in scope and can deal with the intricacies of a
transcontinental or intercontinental move."
Chris Draeger, Group Vice President of Marketing for Crown Worldwide noted, "Crown is delighted to be aligned with FAWCO, an organization actively supporting the needs of women overseas. FAWCO and Crown provide unique services for a common group of people who are living, working and adjusting to life in different cities throughout the world." Crown Relocations, which serves more than 60,000 relocating employees and their families each year, recognizes that more women are taking on international assignments than ever before, in addition to the already large number of American women living overseas with a relocated spouse. According to a study by Mercer Human Resource Consulting, "More females are being sent on international assignments than ever before. Over half of the companies surveyed by Mercer expect the number of female assignees to continue to increase steadily over the next five years." Chris added that Crown's worldwide staff has first-hand knowledge of the challenges women face as they relocate and adapt to new cultures. "To support them during the transition, Crown provides services ranging from resume preparation and business networking to handyman and domestic help services," said Chris. Many of Crown's worldwide offices are involved in women's associations, including employees at Crown Kolkata and Crown Seoul, who participate regularly in social activities sponsored by the International Women's Clubs of Kolkata and International Woman's Association of Korea, respectively. In Japan, Crown Kobe employees recently participated in a Walk-A-Thon designed to benefit Japanese women in the workforce. "Social responsibility is indeed important to FAWCO and our member clubs," said Brown, stressing that global issues are everyone's responsibility. "Partnering with sponsors who share our commitment to social issues is essential to making sure that good things happen in the world."
