Beijing
The majority of expats choose international schools.Most expat kids ride the school bus.The majority of international schools have school buses that pick up children from Beijing's prominent expat estates located downtown. Read more
Shanghai
Expats tend to send their children to one of the many international schools in Shanghai. For those with children under 10 years of age, spaces are at a premium. Do submit your child's application as early as possible to secure a seat. Waiting lists are normal as we approach the beginning of another school year. Read more

The competition to get enrolled is not excessive and there are usually enough spots at these schools for all children of foreign families moving to the area. Xiamen
Private international schools are most the common choice. The best is Xiamen International School, which offers an American/international curriculum for expatriate students from kindergarten to grade 12. There is not much competition to get into the schools and pre-schools are widely available. Read more
Qingdao
Most expats put their children in one of Qingdao's two international schools. One of the schools offers an education with a Christian philosophy and the other doesn't. there is usually a place for a new expat child in these schools. Read more
