"Multicultural Teams - Global Communication" Seminar, Suzhou, China


On March 20, 2009, Crown Relocations hosted 25 human resource (HR) professionals at an intercultural seminar entitled "Multicultural Teams–Global Communication" in Suzhou, China. The seminar was organized in association with Suzhou Industrial Park Human Resources Development (SIPHRD).

Jeremy Wong, Crown's Global Passport trainer for Greater China, presented ideas and insights about working in multicultural teams in China. Jeremy Wong specializes in the field of intercultural training in Greater China (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou and Hong Kong), Singapore and Australia. He is a Hong Kong Chinese national with vast international working and overseas living experience in Australia, the United States and Europe. Jeremy's experience enables him to provide multicultural insight into working, negotiating and communicating between Asian and Western business people.

The session included topics such as cultural pitfalls, misconceptions and tangible/intangible costs of unsuccessful assignments and concluded with a discussion about developing HR strategies for expat assignments. One of the HR professionals who attended complimented the session by saying "It was very interesting, interactive and impressive" and another noted, "Jeremy is a very professional trainer."
