Jennifer Harvey was born and raised in Japan and Hong Kong. In 1990, she received a B.A. from Columbia University. Her career began at Shearson Lehman Brothers, where she was a financial analyst in the company's Middle Market Group.
In 1993, Ms. Harvey joined the Crown Worldwide Group in Tokyo, Japan as Corporate Services Manager. During this time, she implemented the company's new global account management system in Japan and contributed to significant revenue growth -- particularly with financial institutions -- and established a major embassy contract. In 1995, she moved to Crown in Singapore to serve as Sales Manager. In both roles, Ms. Harvey was highly active in the local and expatriate community, organizing and participating in multiple community events benefiting newly transferred families and charity.
In 1997, Ms. Harvey moved to New York, where she served as Regional Corporate Services Manager for the Eastern USA. She worked to develop the company's corporate business and reporting systems along the East Coast and Toronto. She spearheaded the company's efforts to secure and then manage a contract with a major investment bank, which remains Crown's largest account there today.
In 2000, Ms. Harvey accepted the position as the company's Group Marketing Manager, overseeing a team dedicated to Crown's market research, corporate identity, advertising, websites, press relations, and development of collateral and promotional materials as well as internal marketing and communications.
Subsequently, Ms. Harvey managed the company's "INCH by INCH" campaign to help clients with employee expansions into China and India - two major growth markets and major centers for Crown's Charity in Motion initiative.
In 2008, Ms. Harvey was appointed to the position of Director of Corporate Social Responsibility, where her primary responsibility is working with Crown's business heads to create a unified, innovative approach to green and community impact initiatives. She is developing and executing a standardized global strategy to further support Crown's objectives of extending environmental conservation policies, recognizing responsible service partners and expanding Crown's "Charity in Motion" program.
Ms. Harvey is also working toward earning Crown's ISO 14000 environmental management standards certifications in additional Crown facilities. She is growing Crown's involvement in the Clinton AIDS initiative, evaluating existing programs such as the purchase of eco-friendly hybrid and electric vehicles, switching to packing materials made from at least 80% recycled materials and working with suppliers to improve their environmental performance.
Ms. Harvey has been a speaker at conferences held by the Worldwide ERC® and the Federation of International Movers (FIDI), where she successfully completed numerous certificates and served as President of its organization for young executives. In 2008, she was interviewed live by CNN International on Olympic travel challenges into Beijing. She speaks Japanese and lives in New York City.
