The Crown Group Supports Christchurch Earthquake Victims
The Crown Worldwide Group, leading provider of global mobility, relocation services, information management and logistics for private and corporate clients, continues to support the Christchurch staff and other victims of the earthquake.
A magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck near Christchurch on February 22, causing death, and extensive damage to the city, and leaving many people in need of assistance.
Crown’s Christchurch branch has since reopened and is fully operational. Nevertheless, the staff and their families have had to cope with the loss of lives, lack of running water and electricity, and extreme property damages, a common and tragic experience shared by many people who reside in the effected area.
In keeping with its corporate social responsibility program, Crown organized a drive for donations to help support the Crown staff, their families and other victims of the earthquake. Donations were made by individuals and branches, in the form of pledged tokens and handled by regional HR offices. Mementos representative of other Crown cities or branches that supported the drive were mailed directly to the Christchurch office where they’re being displayed as reminders of the Crown group’s support.
Crown and its employees in 250 countries across the world express our sincere sympathy and strong support to the victims and their families of the tragedy in Christchurch.
