Morgan Stanley & Cameron: "Clients of the Year"
The Crown Worldwide Group introduced the Crystal Award in 2008 as a way to show the company’s appreciation to its most valuable and rewarding client relationships.
Crown Relocations has been providing moving services for Morgan Stanley for the last ten years. Crown manages the relocations for Morgan Stanley’s employees from the U.S. to most of Asia and, this year started managing the relocations to the Middle East. Crown’s Asia offices also manage the relocations for employees that are inbound to the U.S. from Asia. In 2007, Crown relocated 181 of Morgan Stanley’s employees.
To thank them for their long-standing relationship, the team at Crown New York presented the Morgan Stanley relocation team with Crown’s “Client of the Year” award for the Eastern Region of the United States.

Tara Fleming, Liz Vazquez, Catherine Quinn and Whitney Bonavita of Morgan Stanley attended a specially arranged luncheon in New York, to formally accept the “Client of the Year” award from Crown. Representing Crown were: Ken Madrid, CEO, APAC and Group CFO; Brian Valentine, CEO, Americas; Bernie Gurr, CFO, Americas; Frank Hochgesand, VP, eastern region and Karina Nicholls, Morgan Stanley key account manager based in New York. Frank Hochgesand noted, “I would like to thank the Morgan Stanley team on behalf of the entire Crown Group for their support, their business and their partnership as this is deeply appreciated. We have enjoyed immensely working with all the people at Morgan Stanley and look forward to continuing to develop this relationship which we believe is a mutually beneficial one.”
Cameron is a leading provider of flow equipment products, systems and services to worldwide oil, gas and process industries, based in Houston, Texas.
Paul Schmidt, human resources director for Cameron, thought he would be conducting a business luncheon for his department at the Steamboat restaurant. Little did he know that Gary Elliston, vice president of Crown’s U.S. Gulf Region, had secretly arranged with Mary Lee Beaumont, HR assistant at Cameron, to hijack the luncheon and use it as an opportunity to present Paul with Crown’s “Client of the Year” award for the Gulf Region of the United States!
Cameron was chosen for this award for several reasons: the number of initiations, feedback return rate and Crown’s overall relationship with Cameron. Crown and Cameron truly partner to ensure that each move is a success and in Paul’s words, “Client of the Year; that’s quite an honor. However, we could not do what we do without Crown’s assistance. You and your company make yourselves accessible and are as anxious for a move to go well, as we are. Thank you again for the honor and for your assistance.”
