Crown’s booth stood proudly in the exhibition hall, while the U.S. National Sales Group (NSG) greeted visitors and handed out stuffed lions and cups. But it didn’t end there. The team sponsored a hospitality suite, Ken Madrid, CEO Asia-Pacific & CFO of Crown Worldwide, moderated a session on Global Pensions and Norah Franchetti, group vice president of learning & development, gave a presentation, along with Crown New York and DC Operations Managers, Andy Andreadis and Edwin Guzman, who gave a live packing presentation in a session called “The Magic of International Moving.”
Also in attendance from the NSG were Maureen McMenamin, Kay Kolakowski, Debbie Dull and the team’s newest member, Gene Carpenter. Chris Draeger attended from marketing, as well as Carmella Elletson, Shan Norman and Donna Bergles from the GMS team, representing the Americas and EMEA.
Following Norah’s presentation, Andy Andreadis showed the audience a variety of cartons and explained how they are used. Edwin Guzman demonstrated the technique that is used to pack and prepare chairs for transport. The attendees were split into groups and asked to wrap their own chair, as quickly and neatly as possible.
The participants enjoyed the interaction and enthusiastically showed off their packing skills. A prize was given to the winning team!
Christine Holland, relocation specialist from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, who moderated this session expressed her gratitude to Norah, "I want to thank you for the great program at Worldwide ERC®! You did a fantastic job. The initial feed back I received was great. I even had some people come up to me later in the day and said they were sorry they had missed the session. They had heard it was fun and informative! It also seems the packing of the chair was a great hit!
