Leon Travels to the United Kingdom
Crown is pleased to announce the third edition of its collector’s series, Leon Travels the World, featuring the Crown mascot, “Leon the Lion” as a stuffed collectible dressed in different outfits from around the world. The latest installment highlights the United Kingdom and features Leon dressed in the traditional costume worn by the Yeomen Warders, the historical Guards of Tower of London, who are affectionately known as the “Beefeaters.” It comes complete with a collector’s edition carrying box featuring the red telephone kiosk that is a well known sight on the streets of London, and the official Crown Worldwide logo.
Leon the Crown Lion has become a recognizable character around the world. Initially created to help children during their family’s global or domestic relocation, he is also known to make regular appearances at international schools, Crown sponsored functions and expatriate events around the world. His image appears in Crown’s Children’s Program, including the more than 30 Children’s Destination Guides--Crown’s series of educational booklets designed to inform children about countries they are moving to. Leon also appears on Crown’s Web site, “Kids Connection,” accessible at crownrelo.com/kids, which provides moving tips and games specifically for children.
