Chairman's Award, Teamwork Award & QUEST Pin Winners
The Chairman’s Award Is Presented To...
Ronan Kelly
Regional Manager for Crown Malaysia & the Philippines
Each year, this award is presented to the person who best exemplifies the ideals of the company. Ronan has been instrumental in expanding and improving Crown’s main business of moving and storage in his region, while showing consistent support for other offices in the Group and forming solid relationships with his staff by helping them develop their skills. Crown’s chairman, Jim Thompson, congratulated Ronan, “we have a man who has performed as I would have dreamed a Crown manager would perform for our group. Since he has been in Malaysia he has developed a new office in Johor Baru to go along with our Kuala Lumpur and Penang offices and has built a very useful extension onto our main building in Kuala Lumpur.
“He has consciously built solid relationships with his staff and helped to develop their skills on a continuous basis by encouraging and supporting training. As a result we have one of the best teams in the Group in Malaysia. We have a lot of talented and motivated managers; however, Ronan stands out as one of the very best and for that reason I’m very proud to present him with this year’s Chairman’s Award.”
The Teamwork Award Is Presented To...
Tze Shen Kong
Chief Financial Officer for Asia-Pacific & Group Financial Controller
Jim Thompson presented the award and congratulated Tze Shen Kong (Shen), “any effort requiring more than one person is best made when those involved work as a team. In sports, a symphony orchestra or in business, the best results come from those who are able to work hand-in-hand to achieve the objective needed. I strongly believe what we have achieved at Crown is in great part due to our having continued to help and support each other worldwide. Any company that can develop teamwork as a basic part of its culture should do well and each year we identify an individual who epitomizes teamwork. This year the award goes to Shen. He has built a relationship with just about everyone he has come in contact with and that is what the award for teamwork is all about.
“Shen received this award in his tenth year working with Crown and, leading up to it, has been responsible for many projects involving legal and financial issues, and records management. He has worked with general, country and regional managers within the company, has been instrumental in helping various branches around the world achieve company objectives and success, and is highly respected within the Crown group.”
QUEST Pin Awards
The QUEST Employee Pin Awards recognize and reward Crown’s worldwide employees that go “above and beyond the call of duty” in their efforts to “delight the customer.” The most recent winners are:
