Switzerland Earns "2008 Operation of the Year Award"
"I was very pleased and proud to be able to announce that Crown Switzerland was awarded with the "2008 Operation of the Year." said Crown Chairman, Jim Thompson. "It is really a great honor because there were numerous excellent performing branches of the company around the world last year, but the performance of Crown Switzerland stood above the rest in many ways. Jurgen and his team truly deserve this recognition."

Jurgen Zyderveld was promoted from country manager of Switzerland to regional director for seven Crown facilities in Central Europe in late 2008: Vienna, Frankfurt, Munich, Basel, Geneva, Lausanne and Zurich. He is tasked with continuing to develop this important region and filling in some of the key cities where Crown needs to be present. A multilingual and highly respected manager, Zyderveld joined Crown in 1995. He graduated from the first Crown's Leadership Development program in 1997 and has served in management roles in Singapore, Korea, Italy and the Netherlands.
David Muir, CEO Crown EMEA, expressed his congratulations, "Jurgen is a proven professional who has rapidly grown our Swiss market over the last four years. We base our selection of the 'Operation of the Year' on many factors and in 2008, Switzerland exceeded all of its goals. Jurgen has continued to develop the Global Mobility Services (GMS) business, has been very supportive of the GMS team in Basel, was in the top three Group QUEST Quality scores and has successfully managed other countries including Austria and Germany.
