Plant a Tree Today
The Crown team in the UK has partnered with The Plant-A-Tree-Today (PATT) foundation in an attempt to offset the carbon emissions from its UK facilities by planting trees. The team has committed to planting more than 2,200 trees in Thailand which will capture over 1,800 metric tons of carbon (equivalent to the annual CO2 emissions from nearly 1,250 UK households) to combat climate change.
The project with the PATT foundation also means that Crown Relocations will benefit rural Thai communities, as money is donated to the villagers in exchange for planting trees and continuing to protect and maintain them. The scheme then enables villagers to access credit to allow them to start businesses or run community projects.
