It depends upon the nationality. There is a quite strong French community, and perhaps also the English one. For the other nationalities, there are not such close-knit communities. A good way to meet other expats is to read local blogs or newspapers (examples include Le Petit Journal and the American Women Association).

The best way of socializing here is to join clubs or associations that are of interest to you (cooking classes, reading classes, book clubs and music classes, for example).
