In the same year that the Beatles' 65 album went to number one, the Batmobile was created and “The Sound Of Music” was released, Crown was born. It was 50 years ago, that Jim Thompson started the company from a small, rented cubicle in Yokohama, Japan. The company had a humble beginning with very little capital and just two employees. Now, Crown Worldwide is one of the longest-standing and most extensive private logistics companies in the world. With over 5,000 employees, it offers an extensive range of logistics services across five brands. To this day, Jim Thompson credits the success of the company solely on his teams past and present. Jim says: “My greatest pride comes from having created a platform for many talented people to develop their skills beyond their own expectations.” We are very proud to have reached such a unique milestone.
