San Francisco is very well-equipped for raising children of any age. Many restrooms have diaper changing tables/facilities. There is a plethora of parks and playgrounds with play structures. The Golden Gate Park, in particular, has many trails that are accessible for people with strollers.

The entire Bay Area, including San Francisco, has many facilities that cater for children. Most popular is the San Francisco Exploratorium where kids can have hands-on experience with science projects.
