Crown Worldwide Group Awarded the RoSPA, Silver Award in Occupational Health and Safety
July 22, 2013
Crown Worldwide Group, United Kingdom and Ireland, has been awarded the "Silver Award in Occupational Health and Safety" at the RoSPA 2013 awards ceremony. The event was held at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, in Birmingham and Kamila Wolkowycka (Site Supervisor, Birmingham) accepted the award on behalf of Crown. RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) is a registered charity which recognizes organizational achievements and commitment to raising the standards of accident and ill health prevention. Dating back 57 years, the RoSPA Awards scheme is the largest and longest-running program of its kind, open to businesses of all types and sizes throughout the UK and overseas. The scheme not only looks at entrants' accident records, but also their overarching health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and work-force involvement.
The events are truly international affairs, with award winners and guests representing organizations from all around the world, and a judging process undertaken by a select committee comprised of RoSPA staff and independent consultants.
David Rawlins, awards manager, said: "RoSPA firmly believes that organizations demonstrating commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention, deserve recognition. Crown has shown that it's committed to striving for such continuous improvement, and we are delighted to honor them through the presentation of this award."
This award follows last year's achievement, where Crown was also presented with the Silver Award in Occupational Health and Safety. It is clear that the Crown Worldwide Group is dedicated to continuing our efforts in occupational health and safety.
