What types of schools do most expats in your city choose for their children?
Most expats send their children to private schools. There are a number of international schools in Surabaya and other major cities that teach in English, French, German, Dutch and Japanese. Keep in mind that tuition fees are quite high for private schools and there is usually a waiting list. It is recommended that you contact the school of your choice as soon as you arrive so you are able to obtain a spot on the list.
What are some examples of these schools?
- Surabaya Intercultural School
- Curriculum - American curriculum modified for International Students. Program includes pre-school (age 3) through Advanced Placement (AP) studies and American HS graduation diploma.
- Surabaya European School
- Ciputra School
