Clothes are available in all sizes and from a wide variety of labels, including Marks and Spencer, Woolworths and Debenhams. You can also easily find tailors to make clothes to your specifications.

What grocery stores do expats in your city shop at?
Grocery stores include hypermarkets, such as Carrefour and Lulu Hypermarket, the “expat” supermarkets at The Mall and Landmark, and several branches of the popular Family Food Center.

Where can other household items (such as cleaning materials and home furnishings) be found?
The most popular store for home furnishing and cleaning accessories is Home Center (at the City Center mall, or the Jaidah Flyover). The oriental carpet stores (Reshi, Oriental Carpet) offer a selection of Indian and other exotic furniture. For cheap household accessories, you can visit a souq (market).

What are factors that might affect my shopping habits in this country/city?
The opening hours are generally 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., but hypermarkets and upmarket shops at the malls are open all day. Shops open at 3 or 4 p.m. on Fridays. Online shopping is not available yet in Qatar.
