What are the items that I should bring with me because they’re not available (or are too expensive) where I am going?

The Raleigh/Durham metropolitan area offers an abundance of shopping opportunities. There are pharmacies, supermarkets, department stores, and outdoor and indoor shopping centers (malls). Anything you could possibly want or need is readily available and at your fingertips.

We do recommend however, that you bring enough prescription medication (if needed) in case of an emergency until you can have a new prescription provided for you by a local doctor.

What are factors that might affect my shopping habits in this country/city?

Price is the number one factor when shopping. It will vary from store to store. Otherwise, the only other factors are special needs (hard-to-find items) and location. Keep it in mind that some stores will not deliver items to you if you live too far from the store's location.
