The recent immigration amendment to the existing legislative framework has introduced a few changes for the non-EU immigration process in Denmark.
As of June 10, the annual salary for the pay limit scheme must be at least 400,000 DKK (33,333 DKK/monthly) when the application processed is within the scheme. This includes the fast-track option. This salary should be updated every year.
For all new pending applications, the salary should be revised accordingly to ensure the above threshold is met. It is still possible to apply for the extension of the existing permit with a lower salary threshold (previously 375,000 DKK/year).
The amendment has also put an end to green card applications as of June 10. Extension of the current green cards will still be possible.
