The United States, the United Kingdom and other countries have warned against non-essential travel to Ethiopia following the government’s declaration of a state of emergency in October.
Foreign nationals are recommended to defer all non-essential travel to Ethiopia until further notice, especially in Amhara and Oromia States. Those currently in Ethiopia should exercise caution.
