Most kids are transported by school bus.
 
When does the typical school year start and end?
International school - from the end of August to the beginning/middle of June
Local school - from Apr 1 to the end of March
 
Is there anything else I should know about local schools?
To attend Japanese public school, fluent Japanese is required.
