The government of Mozambique recently approved a minimum salary increase for workers in various sectors – ranging from 3.6% to 12.5%. This increase took effect on April 1, 2016.
Employers must ensure their employees are paid the minimum monthly wage. If they haven’t met the requirements, the difference must be backdated to April 1, and paid.
