Most items are available in Fribourg and priced as they would be in most countries.
Will anyone have particular trouble finding clothes that fit?
There are not as many stores available for people needing extra-large sizes as, for example, in the USA.
What grocery stores do expats in your city shop at?

What are factors that might affect my shopping habits in this country/city?
The opening times of the shops and shopping centers are different than in some countries. Within the city, the shops close at 7 p.m. every night, 4 p.m. on Saturday and are closed on Sundays. Late opening is on Thursdays until 9 p.m. The shops around Fribourg (malls) have the same hours but are open late on Friday nights until 9 p.m. Please note that the shopping store in the train station (Aperto) is open every day of the year until 10 p.m., but prices are higher than in normal shops.
