The world’s smallest continent, Australasia comprises Australia, New Zealand and New Guinea, together with a number of nearby islands in the Pacific Ocean.
Collectively, these countries form a landscape of many contrasts: deserts, tropical rainforests, volcanos and grasslands. Australasia’s highest peak is Mt Wilhelm on Papua New Guinea, which is 4,300 m high.
