Discuss any safety issues for children in this city.
As in any other place, you should not let small children out of your sight. Traffic in Shenzhen is of particular concern for children's safety. Chinese drivers don't always obey traffic rules and it is not uncommon to see a car driving the wrong way. As a result, a car could come unexpectedly from any direction. Keep a close eye on children and teach them to be very cautious when near traffic.

I want my child to get the most out of our stay in this country. Are there any specific opportunities to teach young people about the local culture?
Living in China gives your children a unique opportunity to learn the Chinese language. They can quickly learn the local language and culture by playing with Chinese children. A fun way to learn about the culture is to participate in China's colorful festivals, such as the Chinese Spring Festival (Chun Jie) and, of course, the Lunar New Year, when you should remember to give them a red envelope with new Chinese money inside to bring them good luck.
