Crown Indonesia raises money for Yayasan Sayap Ibu
August 19, 2015
This year, as part of Crown’s 50th Anniversary celebration, every country in the Crown world is raising money for local charities that fund children’s education and healthcare issues. Crown Indonesia held an auction and garage sale at a local community center to help raise funds for Yayasan Sayap Ibu (YSI) – a charity that strives to improve social welfare in Indonesia and works alongside the government to provide adoption, foster care and custody services.
Crown's clients donated items including furniture, kitchen utensils, children's toys and books to be sold at the event.
A number of Indonesia's employees took part, operations crew members transported the donated items and set up the garage sale, others helped to price-up and promote the items on sale.
Indonesia received fantastic support from a number of local businesses, corporate clients and local community organizations who attended the event.
The event was a huge success, raising US$ 1,479, which will be used by YSI to buy food, basic healthcare items and finance the daily operations of its foundation.
