Crown Malaysia tackles the Standard Chartered KL marathon
April 23, 2014
The Crown Malaysia team recently joined 30,000 runners participating in the Standard Chartered KL Marathon, the funds raised from which benefit the local community.
The event featured eight categories, of which one was the MSIG Ekiden, a team relay challenge of 21 km. Our Crown team, including Cathal Brady, Livian Lin, Isnainy Idris, Richard Thiagaraj and Damian Cross, completed the relay with a time of 02:12:41.36 net, placing them at number 29 out of 119 teams.
Devendran Murugayah participated in the 10 km “Run for a Cause”, an individual, run-for-charity program. He ran to support Hospis Malaysia, a non-profit organization providing palliative care services to patients with life-limiting illnesses. Devendran beat 4,860 runners to place 6,029 with a finishing time of 01:34:00 net.
Whether running alone for a specific charity, or together as a team supporting one another to benefit community causes, every single member of the team had a phenomenal time and walked away with a great sense of achievement.
