Crown Singapore raises funds for Children's Cancer Foundation
August 19, 2015
This year, as part of Crown’s 50th Anniversary celebration, every country in the Crown world is raising money for local charities that fund children’s education and healthcare issues. Crown Singapore held a silent auction at its facility to dispose of long-term unclaimed storage items. High-quality furniture and books were auctioned at the event. Juliet Tan, HR Manager, who helped organize the event commented: "The generosity was simply astounding. We managed to raise US$ 4,800." This is more than three times our fundraising goal!
The funds raised will be donated to the (Children's Cancer Foundation in Singapore), an organization that Crown Singapore has an ongoing relationship with. The team is also hoping to work with other non-governmental organizations (NGOs) such as the Asia Foundation's "Books for Asia" program, an organization that specializes in book donation distribution activities.
