Pioner's line-up always offers the best of contemporary cinema – from films featuring Michael Haneke and Lars von Trier, to unconventional mainstream and innovative blockbusters. This cinema hall also presents a range of genres, including low-budget feature and animated films, festival hits and documentaries.

If you’re seeking an art-house cinema in Moscow, then visit 35mm. The cinema features alternative, exotic, non-commercial and independent movies. It is not a very big cinema, but it does give you that warm and cozy feeling!

Center of Documentary Cinema
This cinema regularly features documentaries, educational and science-fiction films. The cinema hall, which occupies one of Moscow’s museums, is the perfect place to screen movies, host workshops and some of Moscow’s biggest festivals. The venue also offers a free media library, café and a chill-out area.
And don’t forget to visit the museum – it’s an architectural treasure!

Formula Kino Gorizont
Formula Kino Gorizont hosts a number of festivals dedicated to American, Brazilian, British, Chilean, Czech, Danish, German, Italian, Korean and Norwegian cinema. It also showcases the Locarno and Rotterdam international film festivals.
Once a month, the cinema also offers direct translations and repeat screenings of theater productions from The Metropolitan Opera (New York), The Royal National Theatre (London), The Globe Theatre (London), The Royal Shakespeare Company (Stratford-upon-Avon), Netherlands Dance Theatre (The Hague) and the Bolshoy Theatre (Moscow).

This is a popular cinema showing the latest releases in their original languages. Always ensure you enquire about subtitles before you buy your tickets!

Please be aware that ticket prices vary – morning screenings are cheaper than those in the evening and on weekends. Screenings of 3D movies are also more expensive.
