All grocery stores stock daily necessities such as cleaning materials. Larger items, like home furnishings, can be found in specialty or department stores, such as Macy’s or IKEA. Additionally, Seattle’s suburbs have many stores where you would be able to find everything from home furnishings to cleaning materials and food. These include Kmart, Target and Walmart.

One secret that expats discover after a while is that "a sale is not a sale." This is referring to the many "sale" signs in store windows. In many instances, these signs are placed only to lure customers into the store.
