What kinds of visas are available?
Visas include tourist and work visas.

Tourist visas can be obtained, even at the airport upon arrival, for stays of up to 30 days. You are encouraged to check with your closest consulate or Mongolian embassy for further details. Americans do not require visas for the first 30 days.

Acquiring a work visa can be quite complicated, since visas are limited to ensure job opportunities for locals. However, most teachers or transferees arriving with a company have no problem obtaining this kind of visa.

You will also need a resident stamp in your passport and a resident ID card.
