Charlotte is a super place for children to visit . There are many activities for them in this area. The popular attractions include (but are not limited to):

  • More than 210 parks throughout the area as well as outdoor and indoor swimming pools and golf courses. The parks in the Charlotte area are great for hiking, bicycle riding, disc golf (golf using a frisbee) and picnics.

  • Museums such as the Afro American cultural center where you can learn about how African Americans have contributed to the development of Charlotte and North Carolina; and the Charlotte Museum of History, the Charlotte Nature Museum and IMAX located at Discovery Place and the Mint Museum of Craft and Design. These are just some of the fantastic museums that Raleigh has on offer.

  • The Carowinds amusement park where there are a variety of different rides from thrilling roller coasters to relaxing water slides. The amusement park is open from Memorial day weekend, in May, to Labor day weekend in September.
