What are some examples of these schools?

  • Anglo-American School - Great sport facilities and ties to the embassies of Canada, United States and United Kingdom
  • British International School of Moscow - Eight campuses throughout Moscow, divided into primary and secondary schools
  • French Lycee - Kindergarten, primary, high school and college instruction
  • German School - Located in the German Village (in German: Wohngebiet der Botschaft den Bundesrepublik Deutschland), close to the German embassy and German companies. It also has its own kindergarten.

Is there a lot of competition for spots in local schools?
Not really, but some local schools are better than others.

Are pre-schools also widely available (for children approx. 2 to 5 years old)?
Yes, but they are expensive.

How are most kids transported to and from school?
Children are usually transported by their parents or the school bus. Crown Moscow will soon be offering a Crown Kids bus for all children who attend the French School. Contact Crown Moscow for further details.

Classes generally begin in September and end in May.
