In most neighborhood shopping centers you’ll find either Pick 'n Pay or Checkers (the main supermarket chains), Woolworths (which carries a smaller, but more exclusive range), and SPAR supermarkets and mini-supermarkets, which are found in even the smallest suburban shopping centers. Fruit and vegetable stores also carry basic food items.
