The main grocery stores in Chicago are Jewel and Dominick's. Both supermarkets sell a large variety of food and are conveniently located throughout the city.

Specialty grocery stores include Whole Foods Market, Trader Joe's and Treasure Island. These grocery stores carry a larger variety of organic foods, gourmet items and foods from around the world. There are also a number of "mom and pop" stores, fruit markets and ethnic delis/grocers.

Target, Wal-Mart and K-mart have the largest selection and the most competitively-priced items.
