What are factors that might affect my shopping habits in this country/city?
Stores in Dubai are generally open for longer hours than in other countries. Many are open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with the exception of Fridays when they may be open from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Please note that smaller shops, especially in the souqs (markets) may keep to the old tradition of closing from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a siesta.
