Yangon itself is not really well-equipped for infants and toddlers. However, the expat compounds will have facilities for children.

There are limited kid-friendly attractions in the area. There is the Yangon Zoological Garden, the Hlawga Wildlife Park, the Myakyuntha and Shukhintha Amusement Parks. The various expat clubs have facilities such as swimming pools and play areas. International schools will also organize extra-curricular activities.

Some examples of popular activities are soccer, swimming, cycling and horseback riding.
