Typically, expats shop at larger grocery stores such as Albertson's, Kroger and Tom Thumb.

Wal-Mart also operates "super centers" that sell groceries in addition to clothing, house wares and other items.

The more popular stores for household items are Wal-Mart, Target and Kohl’s. There are numerous home furnishing stores such as Sears, Ashley Furniture, Haverty's, The Room Store and Rooms To Go -- to name just a few.
