Will anyone have particular trouble finding clothes that fit?
You are in Italy, one of the fashion capitals of the world -- no need to worry about finding clothes! Try to have a look at Via del Corso, Via Condotti, Via Cola Di Rienzo, Viale Europa, etc.

What grocery stores do expats in your city shop at?
Generally, expats frequent the big supermarkets or shopping malls on the border of city. Also you can enjoy shopping in small groceries throughout Rome. You can find a variety of products in these small shops, but be careful about the price. There are several open markets for vegetables, fruits and fish, such as Mercato di Testaccio, Mercato di Via Catania, Mercato di Piazza Vittorio. The best-known, though, where you may find any Italian and foreign-type vegetables, is Mercato di Campo de Fiori in Piazza de Campo di Fiori, open every day from 7:30am to 2pm except on Sunday.

Where can other household items (such as cleaning materials and home furnishings) be found?
Cleaning items and home furnishings can be found in the supermarkets or shopping centers, such as Risparmio Casa, Romanina Shopping Center, EurRoma2 , IKEA, Mondo Convenienza, etc. High-quality home furniture can be found in the area of Via Gregorio VII near San Pietro.

What are factors that might affect my shopping habits in this country/city?
Depending on your neighborhood, fresh produce and flower markets are likely to be held once or twice a week. Big shopping centers are open from Monday to Saturday and on Sunday during some peak times for goods and gift shopping, such as right before Easter and Christmas.
