Describe typical public transportation an expat might use to get around the city.
Bus:  Public buses within the city and its suburbs are operated by the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML). The PMPML operates the Pune Bus Rapid Transit system, the first of its kind in India, in which dedicated bus lanes are supposed to allow buses to travel quickly through the city.
Auto rickshaw:  It is a three wheeler cabin cycle or a motorized version of manually pulled rickshaw and has the capacity to carry only three people. It has very less space for keeping luggage. Once a popular mode of transport for ferrying people to long and short distances, it is economical as compared to cabs.
Cabs : They are a better option when compared to auto rickshaws. They are better-looking cars equipped with GPS, AC, and English-speaking drivers; naturally these are expensive than an auto rickshaw ride. You need to book these cabs by smartphone apps or through internet.  Uber and Ola are the most common online cab aggregators. Cabs from these aggregators are better and more frequently sanitized than other transportation options.
