What grocery stores do expats in your city shop at?
Supermarkets in Jakarta are modern, full-service stores. Many have bakeries and deli counters as well as meat, dairy products, canned, frozen and packaged goods that are imported from Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and various other parts of the world. You may also purchase local and imported beer as well as liquor and wine. Because many foods are imported, prices may be higher than in your home country. Additionally, fresh seafood is abundant and locally produced poultry and eggs of good quality are available.

Some favorite supermarkets of expatriates are: Kemchicks, Hero (a good supermarket chain with many convenient outlets), Carrefour, Club Store and Makro (hypermarket-type shops that offer cheaper prices for bulk purchases.)
