What types of schools do most expats in your city choose for their children?
Most expats choose private international schools for their children, but there are a few good local schools that suit the budgets of others that provide a good education.

What are some examples of these schools?
There is a good variety of schools, each appealing to different groups of expats.

  • International School Manila - American curriculum and widely sought after by expats for their children.  Many grades are often full, so please apply early to avoid disappointment.
  • British School Manila - British curriculum
  • Brent International School Manila - international curriculum
  • Cebu International School
  • European International School - with French, German and English schools
  • King’s International School (opened April 2012)

Is there a lot of competition for spots in local schools?
Competition is fierce for the best international schools except for the brand new King's School, which is still building up its class sizes. Most other schools have waiting lists for many grades and those who fit with the different schools’ priorities have the best chance to get admission. For example, the British School prioritizes placement for British students, and then, secondly, those from commonwealth countries.  The French school only accepts students fluent in French. Please contact Crown Manila for assistance with detailed information and securing an admissions appointment.
