Research from Deutsche Bank looked at the best cities to relocate to for a quality way of life. We looked at their top three Wellington, Edinburgh and Vienna and some of great qualities they have for anyone looking to relocate.
Relocating to Wellington
There are many draws to life in Wellington, New Zealand and one of those is the amount of open space. For a Western city there is significantly less congestion than cities of a similar size in countries like the UK or Japan. This impacts on the quality of life Wellington can give anyone looking to relocate. You’ll find uncrowded communities, a low crime rate and less pollution. All of this adds to a less stressful life in Wellington. It also adds to a great work/life balance as your commute will be shorter this means you’ll be able to spend more time in the evening enjoying all that Wellington has to offer.

Scotland’s capital city, Edinburgh was seen as the second best city that could offer a great quality of life to anyone looking to relocate. A move to Edinburgh generally means you will have a low commuting time. From their research travelling to and from work in Edinburgh had the shortest possible commute out of all cities they looked at. On your short commute you will also be surrounded by all the picturesque scenery Scotland’s capital has to offer with beautiful architecture and a world famous festival, the Fringe Festival in the summer to enjoy.
Relocating to Vienna
The municipality’s social democratic government has a long tradition of investing in high-quality social housing, making Vienna almost uniquely affordable among major cities. It also frequently tops polls on the most friendliest city to live in anywhere in the world. Described as the city of music Vienna is the capital of Austria and the centre of its multicultural roots.
