Crown Mexico Corporate Social Responsibility event: Guadalupano Orphanage for Girls

Earlier this year, the staff of Crown Mexico traveled to Guadalupano Home for Girls (established in 1975) in the District of Atizapan de Zaragoza. The 130 girls (3 to 18 years old) living in this Catholic orphanage are cared for by Sister Julieta and four other Catholic sisters, as well as donors who help support the home. The girls are provided with beds, computers, health assistance, bibles, clothes, linens, meals and books; they are taught religion, helped with homework and participate in outside activities, such as music.

Crown Mexico staff donated a number of much-needed items on their visit, including clothing, school materials, cleaning supplies, toiletries, toys and candies. OSI Software, a corporate client, donated an office table to the home.

The staff read fairy tales to the little ones and played hula hoop and other games with the girls. At Sister Julieta’s request, the team brought paint and painting supplies and freshened the home with new paint.

The Crown Mexico team had a great day, enjoyed their time with the kids and was delighted it could help improve things for the girls and their home.
