Crown Relocations support dedicated Seafarers

The Angel Appeal, an organization based in the United Arab Emirates,Angel Appeal sends out "The Flying Vessel" on a daily basis to visit thousands of Seafarers. These Seafarers are on long voyages, and are vulnerable to hardship, pirate attacks or abandonment by shipowners. Internet usage is limited and there is no other place to visit. The Flying Vessel helps to bring a reminder of home to these dedicated workers, as they can open their emailed pictures, phone relatives or simply rent a DVD.

Crown Relocations Dubai sets money aside for each move booked to help provide financial support to this incredible cause. In February, 400 guests attended The Angel Appeal's seventh annual fundraiser, High Tea and Jazz 2014, which took place in the beautiful gardens of the British Embassy, Dubai.

Simy Mathews, Quality and CSR Manager, and Norah Franchetti, Group VP of Marketing, Learning and Development, presented a check for US$ 10,000 to the Chaplain of The Mission to Seafarers on behalf of Crown.

Theresa Dommett from The Angel Appeal, thanked Crown, saying, "Crown's support is very important for The Angel Appeal to continue with the work we do for Seafarers. We really appreciate the continued support of Crown Relocations and look forward to working together throughout this upcoming year."
