Crown Vietnam to take on the Saigon Children's Cycle Charity Adventure 2018

As a global company, operating in a multitude of markets, Crown has a responsibility to give back to the community and making the world better. Jamie Rossall, Country Manager of Crown Vietnam has been supporting Saigon Children’s Charity (SCC) for four years, this year Viet Tran from Crown Vietnam will be joining Jamie to support the 9th Annual Saigon Children Charity Cycle Adventure on November 23 – 25.

All avid riders will embark on a three-day cycle adventure, riding 300km from Hue to Hoi An on the way conquering the famous “Hai Van pass” next to Danang, in central Vietnam.  Each rider will raise a minimum of US$500 to support SCC programmes. “This will be my fifth year taking part in this event. Whilst each year is a challenge, I find the people involved inspiring,” Jamie said. “Together, our individual contributions are helping to make a difference in their own way, no matter how big or small.”

Preparation is the key to Viet’s first charity bike ride, “I am going to need to focus on hilly route training, as it uses a lot more energy than riding on flat roads. But I know for every kilometer I cycle, it helps the people in need.”

Founded in 1992, SCC supports over 2,000 disadvantaged children with scholarships every year, the funds raised, will contribute to the charity's school building, vocational training, scholarships and empowerment of local organizations. For the past eight years, the annual Saigon Children Charity Cycle Adventure has raised over US$350,000 and provided 400 classrooms for unprivileged children in Vietnam.
