Thailand - Delays in Immigration Document Processing - December 19, 2013

Continuing political unrest in Thailand, especially in Bangkok, is causing delay in immigration document processing at Bangkok’s Thai Immigration Bureau and its vicinity locations, including the Chonburi and Rayong provinces. Traveling to and from the Government Complex is currently a challenging experience. The Thai Immigration Bureau continues to operate as normal, but lengthy queues are now a regular occurrence. If you are an expatriate going through the post-arrival work permit and re-entry permit process, please take into consideration the extra time now required to complete the process.

The Crown Thailand immigration team is assisting its clients with the immigration process as usual, and will continue to do so as long as working conditions remain secure. However, we advise clients to expect delays, changes and a possible unannounced shut-down of the immigration authorities. We will do everything in our power to keep you informed of future developments.
