
Prohibited Items Full Information
Based of articles 1, 3 ,4 ,10 ,11 ,14 ,176 and 177 of the Customs Law, in force in the México (Estados Unidos Mexicanos) establishes the following general regulations: The following items listed below will be destroyed during customs inspection, resulting in governmental fines and high extra expenses. Customs have the right of confiscate the entire shipment.
New items (any item can’t be packaged and shipped in its original packaging)
• Narcotics and Drugs.
• Firearms, knives.
• Bills and coins.
• Alcoholic and non-alcoholic Beverages.
• Food items (incl. cans, dried food, baby food, or animal food, spices, etc.)
• Pornographic material or media.
• Unprocessed Furs and Skins.
• Mounted Animal Trophies.
• Plants.
• Any kind of medicine and vitamins.
• Sea turtle products (e.g. tortoise shell items, foods, cosmetic items and jewelry)
made from the shells of sea turtles.
• Ivory and Ivory Related Products.
• Reptile products (e.g. snakeskin, lizard, alligator, crocodile, etc.) except
products purchased with a valid CITES permit.
• Construction material and tools.

1.1. Consequences of transporting prohibited items
• If any prohibited item is found by our broker during pre-inspection, it will be destroyed and a fined.
• If any prohibited item is found during customs authorities’ inspection, it will be confiscated and a fine will be assessed. Authorities may confiscate the entire shipment.
Note: Authorities may confiscate the shipment in its entirety for exhaustive reviews, opening each of the packages or boxes, until the authority determines if the shipment is released or detained without being able to enter the country. The approximate amount of delays per day is US $ 350.00, these will be added daily, until the container is released and returned empty to the shipping line, also you will have to pay taxes to the authority, these taxes are omitted taxes plus an extra fee for haven’t paid the taxes of the prohibited goods.
