In December 2013, 59 little children joined the Crown Johannesburg team to usher in the spirit of Christmas.
These children were from underprivileged families and were invited under the Spring of Education, Johannesburg Branch charity with which Crown has been associated for a number of years.
Due to heavy overnight torrential rain, the party had to be moved indoors inside the warehouse at the last moment but that did not dampen spirits as the children soon were feeling at home and enjoying themselves with lots of dancing, football games and jumping castle games.
The elders could not resist but put their best foot forward and tapped steps with the tiny-tots and soon the atmosphere was one of great fun and laughter. The finale of the day was Father Christmas (Herbert Mojala) whose arrival was eagerly greeted by the children, all of whom received gifts.
